Dear Diary, Today I am thankful for:
My woodstove
Long boots
Wool socks
My winterhouses wool sweater
My felted wool hat
Wool socks
The stadium walking track
Down filled gloves
Down filled long red coat
So it is cold here. So cold I could not walk outside. So cold that tonight I wore three turtle necks at the curling club. But now I am by the fire writing to you and thinking about the give away that I am planning to celebrate the launch of my new home page. Have you seen it? What do you think ?

Yes I do like your new Home Page, so inviting. It is nice to see the four gals, who are always very helpful. Your fire place is so modern, very smart, a warm cosy setting, wish I had something like that in my apartment. It was minus 17c this week, with wind chills making it feel like minus 25c right here in South Western Ontario. Heading for 6c next week, almost hot.Good hooking weather. You can’t beat a down filled ooat for winter. I have a white one.It is a pain though, wrapping up in so many clothes.

Deanne I like that the important stuff is at the top and with the photos rotating you quickly give a feel about the shop and about what you offer. Then you can scroll down a bit to the sections about if you are looking for this, etc. The page seems to be organized in the order that questions would arise, so it really makes sense. I especially like the section about if you are looking for this, we have this product/service, etc.
It seems a lot of thought went into this new home page, which needs to grab people’s attention, yet for the users that are frequent and know what they want they can go directly to log in or to the shop.
You have inspired me to have a fresh look at my home page and see if I can spruce it up a bit for the new year.
Keep warm, I’m also running indoors this week, which is better than nothing, but a far cry from being able to run around town looking at what is going on.
Warmly,
Meryl

Deanne, great job on the new home page. It is cold here on the west coast of Newfoundland and my wood stove is not as fancy as yours, but the heat from it, is equally delicious.
Hope to see you on the way through Amherst, in the spring!

Love the picture of the “staff”. It is always so fun to put a face with the voice on the end of the line–or the writing on the blog. Let us know what you do with that squash! The stove felt warm just looking at it–amd smells good too. Such is the imagination! It is verra cold in Minnesota also but warmer weather is on the way.

Deb, I bought that stove a few years ago. I love how it gives a bit of a modern feeling to an old house. Mix things up a bit, you know , like in my rugs.

Love picture of your woodstove …. especially the skates and logs by the side as well as the kettle and fan atop. Love your rug on the wall, too.
Am really enjoying your site to check into each day. Thank-you for that.

Wow – your new front page is really good and your staff looks happy! So much information and the connection is fast. I always feel inspired after checking your blog – not sure what it is exactly but I think the reminder to create something beautiful everyday has an effect on me. Will be shopping for macaroon ingredients tomorrow….

We are also having very cold weather. My husband and I walk at 6 in the morning but not these last few days. It was 9 degrees this morning with bad wind chills. This next week we are to have rain. Crazy weather. Stay warm, we will all be ready for the warmer weather of spring. Sallie
