A few weeks ago the following email landed in Deanne’s inbox:
I am a rug hooker on the South Shore and a folk art collector. We were friends of the late Robin and Pat Wyllie. After their deaths we were contacted by their relatives and asked if there was anything in their collection we would like to acquire. We had long admired this collection of your early pieces that Robin had mounted on a board. We happily purchased them and have had then professionally framed to preserve them. I thought that you might like to see them and be pleased to know that they are treasured and enjoyed.
Wishing you well,
How nice it is to see work that you haven’t laid eyes on in many many years, and how good to know that it has been well preserved and continues to be appreciated.
Do any of you have early rugs of Deanne? Is there a story behind the rug? If so, please email firstname.lastname@example.org – we would love to feature it.
