Catherine Bussiere: September 15

one more week of summer
this morning is the essence
can I bottle this morning?
the colors, the freshness, the warm sun, the crickets, even the flies buzzing about
ok, maybe not the flies
but the crickets for sure

I love today
there’s a stillness in the air as if summer itself knows how precious today is
maybe if nothing moves it won’t go away

  1. I think we need to call you ‘Chouette’ Bussiere maintenant!
Delightful sentiments for sure – summer is fleeting – let’s bottle it to sustain us through what is to come in the next few months.

  3. Catherine,
I just checked in to once again look at your beautiful photographs before resuming my Sunflower rug which I am hooking. I love the entry you made about your Mama writing you on your blog …… it was very sweet.

  4. I must say, I’m almost blushing. My mama is writing to me on the blog! She doesn’t even speak english so every now and then my cousin translates for her. Pretty sweet.

  5. As always, Catherine, your photos are beautiful. Thank-you for sharing.
Sunflowers are presently sitting atop my Cheticamp frame and I always appreciate any sunflower pictures to continue to inspire me as I hook.

  6. Salut ma belle chouette,
Nicole vient de me lire ton blog.
Beaucoup aimé la phrase: “maybe if nothing moves it won’t go away.”
Beaucoup aimé aussi la phrase qui dit comment tu veux mettre l’été en bouteille.
Ici aussi il fait un temps magnifique!
Je vais faire du vélo cet après-midi.
    Nicole et moi t’embrassons.
    Je t’aime
    Maman
