Diane Cox, from Cornwall, England posed this video and since I love the title so much I thought I would shaw it with you here. Diane, and her friends have been to my studio for workshops and they are creative, spirited and energetic. One of the things I love about rug hooking is meeting so many creative people. She also had posted this little keep calm and rag rug picture to her face book page. I thought you might ike seeing what is happening in the rag rug world in England in the video below.

Hello Diane. It is a joy having you on my Facebook. I keep in touch with what is going on with you and your artistic group in Cornwall. I am happy to say I have hiked the coastal paths there, making my head quarters so to speak in St.Ives. Your area is my favourite part of England. Hoefully, I will return soon.

Deanne I am fortunate enough to be in Cornwall right now doing a course with Diane Cox and Sue Dove. It is so extremely stimulating and exciting. Feel so lucky to be here with these two amazing gifted women. Hooking facilitates connections with such wonderful women and art.

Wow, what a great video. LOVED the “people” rugs, that belly dancer was beautiful!! lol Thanks for sharing Deanne, the sweets and tea at the end looked pretty good too. I’m off to get a cup of tea for myself now and to think about next designs. Lovely video of color, creativity, thought, design, inspiration and beauty. Thanks again for sharing. 🙂

What a wonderful video. The rugs reflect different people and things that people love or see as beautiful. How fun to see a different place yet we all share a common bond. Thank you for sharing this.

I love, love, love how they seem to hook with such joy and abandon. Most rugs look like they’re hooked from the heart and not a pattern. (The feeling is different!) Thank you so much for sharing!
I don’t know when I’ve enjoyed a video about hand hooked rugs so much.
